How To Choose A Pop-Up Stand

Pop up stands are probably one of the most practical and eye-catching ways of drawing in potential clients and getting your message across for many different promotions. They are ideal for trade shows, exhibitions, conferences and retail displays. So, now you know what a pop-up stand is, then what are some factors you need to consider when choosing the Right Pop-Up Stand For You? There are three unique factors that define the Pop-Up stands.

1. Size

Well, the first thing you need to understand is how the sizes work on a Pop-Up stand. Unlike everything else in life, which is measured using either metric or imperial measurements, pop-up stands have their unique measurement device!

Pop-Up stands are grouped and sized by the number of sections or ‘boxes,’ which make up the shell of the Pop-Up stand.

Most commonly pop-up stands are 3 ‘boxes’ tall (which is the first measurement) and usually come as standard in widths of 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 ‘boxes’ wide. It is good to note that Pop-Up stands can go high as 5 ‘boxes’ tall and can be connected creating an almost endless length (as well as shapes!).

2. Design

What design do you prefer? Pop-Up stands can be curved or straight stand. The most popular choice is the bent unit (about 85% of sales), but that does not mean the straight version is not right for you. The easiest way to decide is to think about where your stand will be placed; if it is in a corner, then the curved is best if it is along a wall and you have limited space then the straight is probably better suited.

3. Fabric Or Printed

Are you a lover of fabric or prints? The difference between the two is not on the stand but the actual panels that are fitted to the face of it Most people choose the printed graphics option because of the more professional look, which can be achieved by a large personalized graphics.

The fabric alternative is better suited for applications where the user wants the ability to regularly change their graphics (usually by
using Velcro) for example in a foyer, school or library.

Now on the decision making on which one to purchase, make sure you ask suppliers what the overall height of the popup stand you are interested in millimeters. As some try to pass off mini Pop up stands as a full sized product. Have a look around at what different suppliers offer, and you will be able to find a good deal than if you just went to the first supplier you found.

So, if for example, you are comparing 3×3 stands remember that the ‘boxes’ could be different sizes between different products and brands. If in doubt always ask for the size of the STAND in millimeters.

There is a huge variety of Pop-Up stands on the market all of which vary in quality of manufacture. Yes, that is right probably the best piece of information I can give you regarding Pop-Up Stands is that they are not all the same! Many suppliers will wash over this fact because they are trying to sell you their cheapest possible stand to be more competitive or make a better margin.
